Meat and poultry cooked in a rotisserie are not only tender, moist, and flavorful, but also better for you! Fat drips off and the food is evenly exposed to moist heat so is less likely to be overcooked or undercooked. Our electrics buyer swears by this rotisserie for making fabulous, succulent chicken and duck. He's in charge of clean up and says that after three years, this baby still looks good as new thanks to diligent scrubbing.

Chefs know that the secret to great roast chicken is the rotisserie, which sears the outside and tenderizes the meat inside for a succulent and simple meal. And now, home cooks have the power of the rotisserie in an appliance that sits on the countertop. The wonderful video instructions demonstrate how to truss a chicken, place it on the spit rods, and connect the spit wheel. Set the timer for 15 minutes per pound of chicken and then watch it roast through the glass door. The heat isn't adjustable, but three settings--normal rotation, pause and sear, and no heat rotation--are designed to cook meats to juicy perfection. All the accessories for preparing meats, fish, and vegetables, plus many extras and recipe ideas are included. The drip tray, heat reflector, and wheels remove for cleaning. --Lynne Sampson

Ozzie Guillen shows himself the door
South Side Sox - Sep 27, 2011
He played Showtime Rotisserie baseball with his lineup card -- set it and forget it! -- even as Adam Dunn and Alex Rios dragged down the club in a historic fashion. Worse yet, he only had derisive laughter for legitimate alternatives.

Restaurant Review: Le Kensington Bistro et Rotisserie
National Post - Sep 16, 2011
Le Restaurant Bistro et Rotisserie has spiffy French doors opening on to a patio to come. La Palette was a bit dinge while LRBR is smart white trim on pinkly terracotta walls with 38 seats. To set the seal on gentrification, the owners are Sylvain

Charcoal grill models are catching up with the gas variety
06.07.11
The sweet smell of summer is food over flame.
Grilling has gone way beyond burgers, brats and hot dogs. There are stones for pizza. And cedar, alder and red oak planks for fish and steaks. Plus skillets for brownies and tarts. The newest cookbooks even have barbecue breakfast recipes: eggs, hash and French toast.
The good thing about grilling is that no matter your type — charcoal, gas or electric — you can cook anything outdoors.
Gas grills — many in stainless steel that mimics the look of kitchen appliances — have been the most popular for years because of their quick starting time. They accounted for 57 percent of sales in 2010, according to the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association. But barbecue store employees and manufacturers say charcoal grills are starting to outsell their gas competitors.
